Situated on the eastern shores of the Aegean Sea, Izmir and the Aegean region of Turkey is a natural paradise.  In this area, the long hot summers and mild winters offer the ideal growing conditions for a diverse range of plants, flowers, and trees.  It is a utopia for the amateur gardener and a fantastic source of inspiration for the artist.  In this evolving series of works entitled Stories from my Garden, the trees, plants, flowers, fruits, and vegetables in the artists own garden have been researched, recorded, and illustrated in various seasons of the year.
