​This exhibition by artist Angela Burns brings together several bodies of work focused on raising awareness of critical ethical issues related to the global fashion system. Composed of 21 fashion illustrations including 12 three-dimensional paper illustrations from the series “Out of Sight, Out of Mind” and 9 textile illustrations from the series “The Blue Collection”, these works aim to draw attention to problems caused by the fashion industry such as exploitation of the earth’s resources, environmental degradation, overconsumption, poor labour practices and exploitation of people. 
A small range of deconstructed recycled garments composed of denim and printed discarded textiles is proposed to unite these illustrations as a three-dimensional fashion outcome.
